As the p≡p (Pretty easy privacy) email application is no longer maintained, we have decided to replace the default email client with Thunderbird. This means that those of you who are still using p≡p will find the app disappearing from your devices after an OTA (over the air) update. You won’t lose any data, just your email configuration.
Many of you already know and love Thunderbird as the most popular open source email client on the desktop. Thunderbird for Android is based on K-9, an open source email client popular with our community and the most privacy-conscious people. Backed by a dedicated team of developers and a global community of volunteers, Thunderbird will never treat your private information as a product.
If you already use Thunderbird on your desktop, the transition is extremely easy, as simple as scanning a few QR codes. Here are some screenshots:
